My 2001 3126B shuts down when I hit the brakes hard. It has done this at 35 MPH and at a coast in the shop. Feels like an electrical/electronic shutdown as it is instantaneous. Does not loose power it just shuts down. To me it has been much more comfortable to drive in the wind that the FL. The turning radius has already been mentioned and that is a definite plus. If the CLDS is turned to the off position while the vehicle is running, the emergency power system will activate. The powertrain PDM will receive power from the emergency power feed, but the batteries will not be charging. See the Emergency Power Supply heading below for details.

Carefully mark (tape, wire tie, etc) all wires on one large lug (choose the one that has fewer wires on it-- either one. Remove them from their lug and place them along with all the original wires on the other lug. So in order to determine which smart switch is missing signal, you would either have to physically find it by checking all switches for any loose connections in the wiring at the switches or wiring harness, or with the Freightliner software plugged in at the dealer.

So here is what you need to do: check all connections to the battery, clean all the terminals, make sure all wiring at the ecm are good and NO worn or frayed wires, this is a must and can cause hard starting.
